Another Loss

Cynthia Wheat Diekroeger 1935 - 2005.

Yesterday there came news, listed in the back pages of an alumnae magazine, that a high school friend died last December. We were close while attending Southwest in Kansas City and stayed in touch while we were in college at different schools. She went to MU and I went to Boulder, and we both joined the same sorority. We later lost touch with each other. Last summer when I was sorting old photos to take to my 50th Reunion, I found a yearbook photo of her and a note of encouragement she wrote me when I started at the University of Colorado and was very, very homesick. Another loss.
